Is Candy AI safe? The short version

Is Candy AI safe to use? Yes, where it matters: the product is real, the company behind it is identifiable, and the official checkout delivers what it sells. Candy.ai and its video arm, Candy Shorts, belong to a registered European company with written refund terms and a detailed privacy policy. It is not risk-free: the content is adult, your chats live on someone else’s servers, and copycat pages around the brand are genuinely dangerous.

Who owns Candy AI, and where is it based?

Both candy.ai and candyshorts.com are run by EverAI Ltd., also written EverAI Limited, listed in the Malta Business Registry under number C107181 with its office in Santa Venera, Malta. Before paying, I did what I do with any subscription: checked that the company named in the terms is a real registered entity. A low bar, and I am still surprised how many AI companion apps fail to clear it.

Is Candy AI legit or a scam?

Candy AI is legit: a named company charges for a product that exists, and cancellation works from the account settings. Reddit complaints are about value, not fraud: token costs inside the app, the AI quality, and teasers that oversell the two free episodes.

Is Candy AI safe to pay for?

The privacy policy names the payment processors, Emerchantpay, TrustPay, Volt, Coingate and UpGate, and lists the last four card digits plus transaction details as the payment data held. Candy Shorts sits inside the same Premium subscription as Candy.ai, and the help center says the charge appears on a card statement as “EverAI”; look for that name before disputing a line. The money rules, as of September 2026:

• Cancel anytime from My Profile, then Settings. Access lasts to the end of the paid period, then the account drops to free.
• Refund window of 24 hours after a card payment, refused once more than 20 tokens have been spent. EU and UK consumers also have a 14-day withdrawal right on the initial purchase.
• Leftover tokens are a gray area: the terms say they expire when a subscription ends, the help center says the balance is kept. Spend them before cancelling rather than test it.

Is Candy AI private? What the privacy policy says

The policy lists what it collects: email, an encrypted password, screen name and gender, IP-derived location, device and browser details, partial payment data, age-check results, and your chats and prompts. Flagged content can be reviewed by humans, and de-identified interactions may be used to train the models.

Retention is long: account data for three years after your last activity, in some cases one; financial records ten years; marketing data up to two. Hosting, moderation, payment and third-party language-model providers receive data, including message content. You can delete the account from the Danger Zone in Settings or write to the privacy team address in the policy.

I treat the chat side as semi-public and the video side as an ordinary streaming account: a series leaves a viewing history, a companion chat leaves a transcript, and that is the part I think twice about.

Is Candy AI banned? Why there is no app

No ban on Candy AI is on record in the United States or the European Union; the only restriction is the operator’s own, whose terms bar use from China and Singapore. It is absent from the Apple App Store and Google Play because of their adult-content rules, so it runs in a browser, installs as a progressive web app, and keeps a Discord community. Every “Candy AI app” or APK offered for download is unofficial and should be treated as malware.

A safety checklist before you sign up

1. Type the address yourself and use a unique password; a reused one is a stranger’s easiest way in.
2. Watch on candyshorts.com if you only want the series; inside the Candy.ai app certain episodes also cost tokens.
3. Read the refund clause first: one day, card payments only, under 20 tokens used.
4. Note the renewal date and cancel from Settings, not through a bank dispute; the terms say a chargeback cancels the plan and revokes remaining tokens.

Editorial take

Candy AI is about as safe as adult subscription services get: a registered EU operator, mainstream payment processors, written refund and cancellation terms, and nothing to download. The weak spots are retention periods that are long for a product this intimate, and a token system that makes the real cost hard to predict in the app. Neither is a scam; both deserve a clear-eyed look before you subscribe.

If a friend asked me, I would say: sign up on the Shorts site, pay monthly first, skip the chat if privacy worries you, and ignore anything carrying the brand name off the two official domains. It has kept my own experience uneventful.
