I caught this one by luck: not in the catalog when I looked yesterday morning, there today with its badge on, and both free episodes watched before breakfast was over.

My First Night Shift is the newest title in Candy Shorts, Candy.ai’s short-series video product: absent when we checked the catalog on September 23, 2026, present the next day, taking the platform’s count from 112 series to 113. The setup, in our words: a man has just been made night manager of an elegant old hotel and finds he is the only man on the shift. His room-service round takes him from door to door, and behind each one a different woman guest has her own plan for making his first night memorable.

It is a rotating-door structure rather than a two-person story: the second lead changes with every room, and the hotel is the only constant.

All episodes of My First Night Shift

As of September 24, 2026 the platform lists five numbered episodes, without titles or per-episode synopses. We have not timed them; the series follows the usual Candy Shorts format of roughly one to three minutes per episode. Episodes 3 to 5 carry the platform’s small New label, and the card shows a New Episodes badge.

Characters

• The night manager. Newly appointed, the only man on shift, and the viewer’s stand-in; the description gives him no name.
• The guests. A different woman behind each door, each set on making his first night one to remember. None is named; they are framed as one per room, not a recurring cast.

All of them are AI-generated originals. This is not a Candy Creators title, so no licensed digital twin appears, and under the operator’s terms no real person is depicted.

My read after the free pair: the hotel carries the series. The visuals hold together from shot to shot better than in some older titles, and a story that swaps its lead every episode needs that.

How it compares with other Candy Shorts series

The closest match on this site is Stepsister Summer, which also spreads five episodes across several women in one location, though it runs its three threads side by side where the hotel story moves door to door. Roxy’s Wet Weekend and Got Stuck With My Girlfriend’s Stepmom are the two-character extreme: one house, one pair, one question. It is also the only one of the four that is new rather than extended after launch.

Editorial take

A new series is a small event on a platform with 113 of them, but this premise suits the format: an anthology in one building means a fresh scene every episode without the continuity longer titles struggle to hold, and an old hotel beats another suburban living room.

At five episodes of one to three minutes this is a short story rather than a season, and a brand-new title has no track record. On Premium already, it is an easy addition to the queue; if not, 36 tokens is a modest way to test whether the door-to-door structure holds, and the free pair costs only a login.

Full disclosure: I have only seen the free half, on the day we spotted the series. I plan to spend the 36 tokens this weekend and will revise this guide if the paid episodes change my mind about the pacing.
