Editorial take

This is the most ambitious short series on Candy Shorts because it attempts three storylines in the space most titles spend on one. It mostly works: scenes are brief, stakes are obvious, and the single vacation setting keeps the AI visuals consistent. The price is depth, since no single relationship gets the room that Roxy’s Wet Weekend gives its smaller cast.

If you want a finished arc without paying for fifteen episodes, this or Your New Stepsister is a sensible first purchase. Your New Stepsister is the tighter showcase for its lead; Stepsister Summer is the busier watch. For a longer arc with real build-up, Caught Between Sisters at fifteen episodes is the next step.

Full disclosure: I planned a quick note on the naming mix-up and ended up watching the whole thing twice. The second pass was to check whether the friend’s subplot was as underused as I thought. It is.
