Hanna asks her boyfriend for a favor: drive her stepsister Kenzie to college. The platform’s synopsis adds that studying is not what Kenzie has in mind on the way and stops there, leaving the road and its detours to the episodes. Kenzie is a college student and an adult, like everyone else in the cast. On the poster she sits in a car’s passenger seat in a gray top and a green cardigan, prairie behind her, and the title artwork ends on the words “to college”.

The series carried the New Episodes badge on October 17 and had left the New filter by October 20.

Hanna, Kenzie and the driver

• Hanna makes the request.
• Kenzie is Hanna’s stepsister, the college student being driven. The series closes with an invitation to chat with Kenzie Whitaker on Candy AI.
• The driver is Hanna’s boyfriend and the narrator, the “I” of the title. The listing does not name him.

All three are adults from the platform’s original Candy characters cast; no licensed Candy Creators twin appears.

A drive suits short episodes: a start, a destination, a clock in the form of the college gate, and two seats that are easier to stage than a house full of exits. The favor does work too, since Hanna’s trust is what is at stake.

The doubt is how much road five clips can cover. The synopsis announces where the trip is heading, so the tension has to come from the miles, and a drive can run out of detours quickly. The free pair should show whether I Drove My Girlfriend’s Stepsister To College can stretch a short journey; the locked three cost under five dollars in tokens.

I have only seen the free episodes. If the paid three keep the college gate on the horizon instead of forgetting it, I will happily say the trip earns its fare.
