Does Candy AI cost money at all?

Not necessarily. A free account opens the Candy Shorts feed and Episodes 1 and 2 of nearly every series. The exception is the Spicy tag, applied to seven titles out of 112 in September 2026; a Spicy series has no free episodes. Money enters the picture at Episode 3, or Episode 1 of a Spicy series; offline viewing and ad-free playback sit behind the same line. Sampling costs nothing, finishing a story requires Premium.

I ran a free account for a week before paying, and two episodes turned out to be a fair sample: enough to know which three series I would follow and which ten I would not.

Monthly or annual: which Candy AI subscription makes sense

Twelve months at $3.99 costs $47.88 up front, less than four months at $13.99; the quarterly plan lands in between.

• Monthly to finish one or two series and leave; nothing is locked in beyond thirty days.
• Quarterly for a season-length commitment without a year-long charge.
• Annual if you already use Candy.ai for chat or images; one Premium covers both products, and the yearly rate is where the headline 70% figure comes from.

Candy AI tokens: what they are and when Shorts uses them

Tokens are the in-app currency of Candy.ai. Premium includes a monthly allowance, generally 100 tokens added on the renewal date, and as of September 2026 extra packs started at $9.99 per 100. Chat itself does not consume tokens; image, voice and video requests do, and so does unlocking certain episodes in the app’s Candy Shorts tab.

Two consequences follow. A heavy viewer inside the app can spend past the subscription price, a recurring complaint in user discussions, and under the platform terms leftover tokens expire when a subscription ends. If the series are all you care about, candyshorts.com sidesteps the token layer entirely.

Full disclosure: I burned through my first token allowance on image requests rather than episodes, and only then realized the Shorts site would have unlocked the same series for the flat fee. Lesson learned.

How to cancel a Candy AI subscription

Plans are advertised as cancel anytime. CandyShorts payments are processed through Candy.ai, so cancellation happens there: open My Profile, then Settings, and use the Unsubscribe button at the bottom, per the help center. The terms state, as of September 2026:

1. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end access immediately.
2. You keep Premium until the paid period runs out, then the account drops back to the free tier.
3. Any leftover tokens expire with the subscription rather than carrying over.
4. You can subscribe again later with the same account; old tokens do not transfer.

Refunds, payment methods and how the charge appears

Two sets of terms apply, because CandyShorts purchases go through Candy.ai. The CandyShorts terms call purchases generally non-refundable, with a discretionary refund possible within 24 hours of a card payment if no paid media has been streamed or accessed. The Candy.ai terms phrase the same window differently: 24 hours, card only, refused once more than 20 tokens have been used. Accounts restricted for rule violations get nothing back, and a chargeback cancels the plan on the spot. EU and UK residents have a separate 14-day right of withdrawal on the initial purchase, less a prorated amount for what was consumed; it does not cover renewals.

The help center lists credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cryptocurrency and bank transfer (Volt, Pix), varying by location. On a card statement the charge shows as EverAI, the operator’s legal name, registered in Malta under number C107181; look for it before disputing an unfamiliar line. Candy AI promo codes and free trials

The largest discount is built into the plan itself: 70% on the annual rate and 35% on the quarterly rate. Candy.ai does promote a trial period with certain Premium offers, but no trial opens complete series; without paying, you get Episodes 1 and 2 of every non-Spicy title.

Editorial take

Is Candy AI Premium worth it? Measured against subscription adult sites, the annual price is low, and the two free episodes let you judge the format before paying (the paid episodes are rated explicit, as our content rating guide explains). What we like less is that the real cost is split across plan and tokens, so a newcomer inside the Candy.ai app can pay more than the headline price for episodes the Shorts site unlocks for a flat fee.

My own compromise has been the quarterly plan on candyshorts.com. It costs less than a takeout dinner per month, I never touch tokens, and I set a calendar reminder for the renewal date because I do not trust myself to remember it.
