Quick answer
Verified November 2026Five episodes, series ID 302: House Rules is a stepmother-led Candy AI Shorts title that appeared between our October 2 and October 5, 2026 checks, tagged Stepmom and Taboo. With her husband's son back from college and his girlfriend staying in the house, a restless stepmother writes house rules to get what she wants. The first two episodes play free for an account holder; Premium or 12 tokens apiece opens the other three. Not Spicy; every character is a fictional adult.
House Rules on Candy AI: a stepmother with a rulebook
The title is the whole device. With her husband’s son back from college, a restless stepmother writes house rules of her own, aimed at getting what she wants, while his girlfriend is a guest under the same roof. Read plainly, it is a contest of authority between adults: who sets the terms in the house, who goes along, and where the girlfriend stands.
First reaction, after the free pair: I expected a rulebook gag and found a power struggle, and I care more about who enforces the rules than about what they say.
The middle of three October 5 arrivals
House Rules was not on candy.ai at our October 2, 2026 check (10:13 UTC) and was listed on October 5 (09:39 UTC): series ID 302, episode IDs 972 to 976. By creation order it was the middle of the three October 5 arrivals, after Thanksgiving With My Best Friend’s Mom (301), the Candy Creators one with Lexi Luna’s twin, and ahead of 303 (My Stepsister Still Calls Me Loser), then the newest title. The poster shows a blonde woman in pink athletic wear at a front door.
Five episodes, one lock after the second
The series page numbers the episodes 1 to 5 without names or summaries; the one-to-three-minute length is the platform’s format, not something we timed.
| Episode | Access | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 1 and 2 | Any Candy.ai account with the age check done | Free |
| 3, 4 and 5 | Locked on October 5; explicit rating | 12 tokens each, or Premium |
The house and the people in it
The stepmother
Restless, the author of the rules and the center of the series; unnamed.
The stepson
Her husband’s son, an adult home from college; unnamed.
The girlfriend
His partner, a guest in the house; unnamed.
The husband is mentioned but not described as a character. Everyone is a fictional adult from the platform’s own cast.
Two ways to unlock the rest
- Tokens. Each locked episode takes 12 tokens in the app, so the three come to 36, about $3.60 using the $9.99 pack of 100. Candy Creators series ask 30 an episode; this original-cast title does not.
- Premium. As of September 2026 a single month is $13.99; commit to three and it is $8.99 a month; commit to twelve and it is $3.99 a month ($47.88 billed at once), with about 100 tokens included monthly. The Candy AI pricing guide has the plan table.
Free pair only so far, and my rule for a single five-episode series is tokens, not a plan: Premium only earns its price if you expect to keep watching other titles.
Content notes
Adults only. House Rules is not Spicy, but that does not make it mild: the locked episodes sit in the platform’s explicit tier, so nudity and sex scenes begin at episode 3 and none are described here. The Taboo tag points at the step-family tie between adults, and the platform’s terms rule out any real person on screen. The rating labels are explained in nudity in Candy AI Shorts.
Where to watch House Rules
Go through candy.ai’s Candy Shorts section (the slug is house-rules) or candyshorts.com; either way you register and confirm your age before episode 1 plays. A page claiming to host the whole series with no account is probably a re-upload or a form after your card number. Candy Shorts AI is a separate, independent publisher; EverAI Ltd., the company behind Candy.ai and CandyShorts, has no part in it. A purchase made after clicking a platform link here can pay us an affiliate commission, and the price you see does not change.
House Rules and the other stepmother series
- Whatever Your Stepmom Says: the nearest premise, with the same Stepmom and Taboo tags. There a father hands Ava, 22, the rule that her word goes; here the stepmother writes the rules herself.
- Accident With My Stepmom: the Spicy relative, tagged Spicy and Taboo, blurred without an account and with no free episodes, though a free signed-in account can read its story and its ten-episode list.
- My Stepmom’s Weekend: Riley Reid’s licensed twin as a young stepmother in charge, for one weekend, of her college-age stepson.
- Got Stuck With My Girlfriend’s Stepmom: a boyfriend trapped with his girlfriend’s stepmother, who tests his loyalty; the girlfriend never appears there, while here she is under the roof.
- Our Host Is Riley Reid: another rulebook, this one kept by a beach-house host played by Riley Reid’s licensed twin, listed by October 17, 2026; two episodes free, then 30 tokens each.
- Dad Left My Step-Mom, listed by October 29: a stepmother whose husband has walked out, and a stepson back for the weekend as her company.
- My Wife’s Stepmom Has One Rule!: another rule-led stepmother, with a house rule of “nothing hidden”; there the wife is her stepdaughter.
Editorial take
I keep coming back to the girlfriend. A rulebook is only a premise; a houseguest who has to live inside it is where a story could start, and I cannot yet say whether the series takes that step.
What keeps House Rules from being one more stepmother title is where the authority comes from. In Whatever Your Stepmom Says a husband hands over the keys; here the stepmother takes the authority and puts it in writing, and a written rule suits short episodes, since each can be a new clause.
The doubts are short. Five episodes is thin for a rulebook, the description stops at the setup, and the Stepmom and Taboo tags will decide it for readers who dislike the genre. Two free episodes cost a login; whether the locked three deliver on the title is the 36-token question.
Frequently asked questions
Is House Rules free on Candy AI?
Partly. Any Candy.ai account with the age check done plays episodes 1 and 2 for nothing, since House Rules is not tagged Spicy. The last three are locked and cost 12 tokens apiece (36 together) or a Premium plan. Premium's September 2026 price range was $3.99 to $13.99 a month, the lower end for longer commitments.
What is House Rules about?
With her husband's son back from college and his girlfriend staying in the house, a restless stepmother writes house rules meant to get her what she wants. The platform's description ends there, names nobody and mentions the husband only in passing. All the characters are fictional adults, and the series is tagged Stepmom and Taboo.
Is House Rules the same as Whatever Your Stepmom Says?
No. They are separate five-episode series with the same Stepmom and Taboo tags. In Whatever Your Stepmom Says the father gives his 22-year-old wife the final word before leaving; in House Rules the stepmother writes the rules herself, with her stepson home from college and his girlfriend in the house. This site has a guide for each.
How many episodes does House Rules have?
Five, listed by number with no titles or descriptions, within the one-to-three-minute window the platform quotes and which we did not measure. Their IDs run from 972 to 976. The listing stops at episode 5 and gives no hint of a sixth, but Candy Shorts has extended series before, so check the page for additions.
When was House Rules added to Candy AI?
It appeared between our October 2, 2026 check (10:13 UTC) and the October 5 one (09:39 UTC), so we cannot give an exact launch date. By ID it falls after 301 (Thanksgiving With My Best Friend's Mom) and before 303 (My Stepsister Still Calls Me Loser), the last of the three.
Is House Rules a Spicy series, and are its characters adults?
It is not Spicy: the tags are Stepmom and Taboo, the card is visible without an account and two episodes are free. The locked three still carry the explicit rating of the paid tier. The stepmother, her stepson and his girlfriend are fictional adults drawn from the platform's own roster; no Candy Creators twin appears.
